Una manta para Simón - A blanket for Simon

Simón esta, en pocos días, por mostrarnos su carita y su mamá, Paola, ansiosa como cualquier madre. Acá les muestro los primeros pasos de esta manta, que tomará bastante tiempo y trabajo.
Pero nada se iguala al tiempo y trabajo de gestar una vida, así que gustosa trabajamos para Simón y su mamá.

Simon is, in a few days, about to show us his little face; and his mother, Paola, so anxious as any other mother. Here is some pictures of the first steps of this blanket. It will take much time and work. But nothing compares to the time and effort to have a baby, so therefore worth the effort to work for Simon and his mother.

Y por fin llegó la primavera - And finally, spring has arrived

Y por fin llegó el comienzo del renacer, los días más largos ya se sienten y el sol empieza a mostrar todo su calor. El verde es más verde y los colores brillan.
Coincido con varias amigas del cyberespacio, en que es la estación en que todo esta en su justa medida, no hay mucho de algo ni poco de nada. Una estación equilibrada. No hace mucho calor ni mucho frio, ni esta muy ventoso.

And finally spring has arrived! Days are longer and the heat of the sun is just feeling. The green is greener and colours shine even more.
I agree with several friends, it is the season of the year in which everything is in its fair measure, there is not much of something or less of anything. A balanced season, not too cold, not too hot, not too windy.



Mi jardín explota de color. Mis hermosas azaleas, a las que yo llamo mis hijas (muchas sabrán que tengo tres hijos varones...) después de un año me brindan todo su color y el jazmín todo su perfume.

My garden explodes with colour. My beautiful plants, which I call my daughters (many know that I have three sons ...) after a year, give its colour and perfume.

Proyecto terminado - Project finished

Hola! hace varios días que tengo abandonado el blog, las cosas diarias son muchas cuando hay tres niños pequeños en casa. Hay que ocuparse de varios temas, despúes viene una y el blog.
Pero me hice un tiempo para terminar este bellísimo almohadón reversible, y estoy segura que coincidirán conmigo en esto.
Estos trabajos son los que me llenan de energía para continuar con el tejido y probar nuevas técnicas que tengo en la lista de pendientes.

Lo encontrarán en la tienda. Pero no se escribe más, ahí van las fotos.


Hello! It's being several days since I don't post anything, the dairy commun activities are many when you have three little kids at home. Several issues to take care of, then is myself and the blog.
But I made some time to finish this gorgeous two side pillow, and of this I am sure, you will agree with me.
These works are the ones that give energy to go on knitting and try new techniques I have on my "to do" list.

Una voz, muchos recuerdos - One voice, many memories

Escuchar a Pavarotti es, indefectiblemente, remontarme a la infancia. A los paseos en bicicleta con rueditas, al olor a café recién hecho, al ruido de la sierra de la carpintería de mi abuelo y mi de papá, a los domingos a la tarde, a mi abuelo cantando una canzonetta y tantos otros recuerdos chiquititos que forman uno grande.
Es que mi familia es completamente italiana, y el sólo escuchar hablar italiano me conecta. Y si a eso le sumamos a Pavarotti mi conexión es mayor.
Y es parte de mi italianidad, parte de familia. A tal punto que cuando se fué, yo sentí nuevamente como si alguíen de mi familia partiera.
Escuchar Nesun Dorma, es recordar a mi padre, a mi abuelo, a tanto sacrificio. Produce un dulce dolor que hace brotar el llanto. Es sentirse viva y revivir.

To listen to Pavarotti is, inevitably, going back to childhood. A bicycle rides with training wheels, the smell of fresh coffee, the noise of the electric saw in my grandfather's and my dad's carpentry, Sundays afternoons, my grandfather singing a canzonetta and so many other little memories that are a big one.
My family is completely Italian and just only listen Italian connects me to my rooth. And if we add Pavarotti, my connection is bigger.
It is part of my Italian side, part of the family. So much, that when he left, I felt as if someone from my family left again.
Play Nesun Dorma, is to remember my father, my grandfather, so much sacrifice. It produces a sweet pain that brings tears to eyes. Is to feel alive and to revive.

Nuevo proyecto - New project

Almohadón espiral - Spiral pillow

Debo confesar, tengo una debilidad con los almohadones. Hay almohadones por todas partes de la casa, con solo decirles que en la cama hay diez! Y el problema comienza cuando ya no hay lugar en dónde ubicarlos.
Y por otro lado tengo una pasión, es tejer desafios. Y lo era ésta técnica que ofrece Karin en su blog. Así fué que no pude resistir y manos a la obra, he aquí lo obra terminada. La satisfacción de ver una obra terminada te llena de alegría y un poco de orgullo. Como siempre les digo, anímense a sentirlo, con cualquier manualidad que hagan!!!
Este espiral va derechito a la tienda, para aquellas que lo deseen ya está disponible!!!

I must confess, I have a weakness with cushions. There are cushions all over the house, there are ten on my bed!. And the problem appears when there is no place where to put them.

On the other hand I have a passion, is knitting challenges. And it was, thes technique that offers Karin on her blog. Thus, I could not resist and get to work, here's the piece of art finished.
I must say that the satisfaction of seeing a work finished fills you with joy and little pride. As I always say, just dare to feel it, for any craft you do!
