Una manta, un almohadón - One blanket, one cushion

Esta es una manta al crochet que hice hace tiempo ya. No así el almohadón que había quedado en el camino, pero bueno, al fin lo terminé. El diseño del dibujo lo saqué de un sweater que encontré en una revista. Primero me hice el sweater en hilo naranja y después me gustó tanto que lo trasladé primero a un chal y luego a esta manta y almohadón (les debo la foto del sweater naranja).


This is a crochet blanket I made long ago. But not the cushion, I finally finished it. The design is one I found in a magazing which I used to knitt an orange cotton yard sweater. First I made my sweater, then I liked it so much that I decided to use the same design to make first a wrap, and then this blanket and cushion (picture of the orange sweater, another day!)

Flores - Flowers

Siempre que llovió paró. Salió el sol e iluminó estas hermosas flores que les dejo para alegrar el día.

Efectos de la naturaleza - Nature

La verdad es que, siendo martes todavía no logro reponerme de los trastornos que te genera esta terrible granizada que cayó en la zona norte de Buenos Aires y otro lugares más el domingo por la tarde. Si bien nadie de nuestra familia salió herido, los daños materiales fueron bastante importantes; pero sólo son eso, daños materiales.

Les muestro algunas fotos que tomamos de las piedras. Uno no se imagina que puede caer eso del cielo!



The truth is that being Tuesday, still can not get over the trouble that generated this terrible hailstorm which fell in the north of Buenos Aires and other places on Sunday afternoon. While no one in our family was hurt, the damage was quite substantial, but it is only that, damage.

I show some photos we took of the stones. You can not imagine that it can fall from the sky!

Crochet y madera - Crochet and wood

Carterita tejida al crochet, totalmente forrada, en rosa y blanco con manijas de madera, lo acompaña un cinturón en rosa y blanco y hebilla de madera. Se llevan bien el crochet y la madera, no?

Un poco de color

Mirándolo bien mi cuarto estaba muy patriota. Si, queremos a nuestro país pero todo celeste y blanco era demasiado! Entonces se me ocurrió agregar un tercer color, y el elegido fue: el fucsia.
Si fucsia. Y a mí me parece que quedó lindo. Se aceptan comentarios.

Handmade - Seda en tu hogar

Por qué no darnos el lujo de lucir este delicioso material no sólo en el dormitorio, que es por lo general en donde lo usamos, aparte de nuestra vestimenta por supuesto!. Bueno siguiendo esta inquietud hice un nuevo camino para la mesa del living. Está confeccionado en gros de seda y la puntilla está tejida en algodón con seda. Quedó bonito, no?

Why don't we dare to used this delicious fabric not only in our bedrooms? Well, yes is my answer, and I made this lovely table runner (I apologize if this word is not correct, but I really couldn't find the right one). It's made with this gorgeous silk fabric and yarn.

Y esta carpetita para la hora del té o café también realizada en hilo de seda. Increible el color!

And this beatifull tablecloth to use during tea time also made with silk yarn. Amazing the colour!

Good things store

A todos los amantes de los objetos con historia, les recomiendo entrar en la tienda de Marcela Conti, Good things store, en donde encontrarán de todo un poco.
Siguiendo una sugerencia suya, me viene muy bien tener a mano esta preciosa azucarera/yerbera llena de cucharitas.
Y ni que hablar de su blog, Deco & Design (que seguramente muchos conocerán) lleno se buenas y prácticas ideas.


To all lovers of history, I recommend you to take a minute and have a look into Marcela 's store, Good things store, in which you will find many different objects.
Following her suggestion, I used the beautifull and antique pot to fill it with little spoons.
