Primer post navideño - My first Christmas post

Todos los años me gusta agregar algo nuevo a mis adornos de Navidad. Este año le toca a esta hermosa guirnalda de triángulos.
Esta guirnalda es la clásica, la que hago siempre, sólo que se usan tres colores pero la forma de tejerla es igual.
Quedan divinas adornando una chimenea, el marco de alguna ventana, una arcada o simplemente sobre una pared.

Every year I like to add something new to my Christmas collection. This year, a beautifull garland! This is the classic garland, the one I always do, the only difference is that in this one I used three colours but the way of knitting it is the same. This one, has a lovely and easy ending.
To decor the top of a fireplace, the top of a window or just a wall.

Viernes emotivo y floreado - Emotional flowered friday

Día emotivo hoy! Mi niño mediano (léase, el del medio) tuvo su fiesta de egresado del kindergarten.
Una mezcla de sensaciones y sentimientos! Alegría, tristeza, orgullo, emoción, amor, curiosidad por lo que vendrá.
Ver crecer a nuestros hijos es la recompensa de la vida. Pero muchas veces, ese crecimiento trae una mezcla de sentimientos. Ellos crecen y se preparan para la vida, uno acompaña y guía.
Guía con la mejor intención, con errores y aciertos.
Estos momentos se guardan en el corazón, para recordarlos cuando ya mas grandes los hijos, nos traigan otros logros, grandes o chicos, no importa! sólo importa que sean logros y que nosotros estemos ahí.

Ellos crecen, nosotros tambien!!!

Emotional day today! My middle child finished kindergarten today.
A mixture of sensations and feelings! Happiness, sadness, pride, love, curiosity about what the future brings.
To see our children grow is the reward of life. But often, this growth brings mixed feelings. They grow and prepare for life, we accompany and guide.
Guide with all the best intentions with mistakes and successes.
These moments are kept in the heart, to be remembered once our children are grown, and bring other achievements, large or small, no matter! it only matters that are achievements and we are there.

They grow, we too!

Y para no peder la costumbre, flores de viernes. Lilium blanco combinados con amarillos y naranjas! Buen fin de semana con mucho sol y calor !!! A disfrutarlo en buena compañía!!

Otro cinturón - Another crochet belt

Fin de semana para todos los gustos.
Fiesta de fin de año de la salita de mi segundo niño, el menor con la quinta enfermedad, práctica de futbol, tarde con amigos, torneo de taekwondo de mi niño mayor, anoche cena con amigos hasta tarde y hoy estamos de franco. Solo fiaca! Me saqué el pijama antes del almuerzo! Que placerrr!!!!

Bueno, no tanta fiaca, me desperté solita y bien temprano a terminar este cinturón que me habían encargado.
Me gusta despertarme temprano, bajar, hacerme un café, salir al jardín, visitar mis blogs amigos en completa soledad! hasta que se escuchan unos piecitos bajar por la escalera y zas! se acabo todo!
Por lo menos, logré terminarlo.


Weekend for everyone!
Party at the school of my second boy, the little one ill, soccer practice, afternoon with friends, taekwondo tournament of my older child, dinner with friends and today we are free. Relaxing all together in the house, the boys at the pool, and me working!

I woke up alone and very early to finish this belt.
I like to wake up early, prepare some coffee, visit the garden, and my friendly blogs, completly alone until I hear little feet coming down the stairs and zas! that was all folks!!
At least, I managed to finish it.

Flores de viernes - Friday flowers

Se va otra semana muy ocupada. Fin de semana largo en Argentina. Aprovechamos para reunirnos con amigos.

Que pasen unos días lindos, en familia o con amigos!!!


Another busy week is finishing. A long weekend in Argentina, since Monday is holiday here.
We will spend some time with our friends.

Manta para Simón: terminada! - WIP finished

Amigas bloggeras, he aquí el producto terminado. Fruto de mis manos y mi dedicación! (cursi, no?)
Bella y como siempre les digo, simétrica.
He de tener algún problema con la simetría! tendré que hablarlo con mi psicóloga!
Pero realmente se luce cualquier trabajo si se cuidan esos detalles, simetría y armonía en la paleta de colores.

But it is true, any work is beautiful if you watch these details, simetry and harmony in the colours.

Rogel

Mañana culinaria. Pastelera, exactamente. La última de éste año, mi maestra parte hacia otros rumbos. Nos veremos el año próximo!

La verdad es que yo tenía una idea errónea con respecto al Rogel. Pensaba que era un postre demasiado complicado pero no. Sólo un poco de organización!


Para la masa:

450 grs. de harina 0000
6 yemas
1 huevo
50 grs. de manteca
50 cc. de leche
50 cc. de alcohol fino (ese que tenemos en el botiquín)

Para el relleno:

800 grs. de dulce de leche

Para la cobertura:

150 grs. de claras
300 grs. de azúcar

Colocar los ingredientes secos en un bowl y agregarle los líquidos. Formar el bollo y amasarlo hasta que este lisa. Dejar reposar fuera de la heladera por 45 minutos aproximadamente.
Separar la masa en unos 10 bollos.
Estirar finamente del diámetro deseado y hornear por 7 minutos.
Acomodar en un plato de presentación, la primer capa y pincelar con dulce de leche. Agregar otra capa y nuevamente dulce de leche. Así hasta terminar la pila.
Hacer un merengue italiano con las claras y el azúcar y decorar a gusto, con manga o con espátula.

Ahora sí, una porción de Rogel, un cortado y un sillón en el jardín!!! A disfrutar!!!





Morning of cooking. Bakery. The last lesson of this year, my teacher is taking other road. See us next year!!

The truth is that I had a misconception regarding Rogel. I thought it was a very complicated dessert but it only require a bit of organization!
Rogel is a typical dessert in Argentina. I say typical, because we use Dulce de leche (is a milk reduction aromatized with vainilla).


For the dough:

450 grs. flour
6 egg yolks
1 egg
50 grs. butter
50 cc. milk
50 cc. fine alcohol (the one we use to clean an injury, that we have in the first aids kit)

For the filling:

800 grs. dulce de leche

For topping:

150 grs. eggs white
300 grs. sugar

Place dry ingredients in a bowl and add the liquids. Form the pastry and work it until it is smooth. Let it rest outside the refrigerator for 45 minutes.
Separate this dough into about 10 buns.
Fine stretch of the desired diameter and bake them for 7 minutes.
Arrange on a serving plate. Put the first layer and brush it with dulce de leche. Add another layer and again dulce de leche. So until the end of the stack.
Make an Italian meringue with egg whites and decorate it as you can see in the picture.

And now, a slide of Rogel, a dark or milk coffee and a confortable chair in the garden!!!! Enjoy!!

Flores de viernes - Friday flowers

Viernes por finnn!!! termino la semana hoy a la tarde con un concierto en el colegio de mis niños. Despúes de una semana entre reuniones y actos, hoy terminamos.
Pero no del todo, la semana próxima se viene movidita. Me imagino que todas estamos en la misma situación. Entre las obligaciones del colegio y las reuniones con amigos, se convierte en una corrida detrás de la otra.

Pero reconozco que esta época del año me gusta mucho, ya que se acerca Navidad y comenzamos con los preparativos. En estas semanas les voy a ir mostrando cositas nuevas para adornar la casa.

Que todos descansemos éste fin de semana!!!!


Finally Friday!!! I am finishing this week with a concert at school, after a week of meetings and school celebrations. Next week is also a very busy one. I can image everyone is in the same condition. We are ending the year and here in Argentina is also school finishing, many celebrations, parties, meetings with friends.
But I must tell you, I like this time of the year, Christmas is coming and we prepare to decor our house. In the coming weeks I will show you some little works.
