Llueve - It is raining

Hoy no!

It is raining and I think it rained all night. I say I believe, because last night I fell asleep with the sound of rain on the tin roof of the bedroom(I love that sound!). And when I woke up this morning was still raining. And it happens to all of us, the clock alarm was saying "Wake up" and rain "stay in bed for a little while".
I love rainy days, the smell of rain, wet plants a more colorful, the raindrops falling on the swiming pool! That reminds me of when I was young I used to row, and went to the river with all-weather conditions and rainy days were special!
But when it's cold I only want to do some cookies. But not today!
So I decided to dedicate some time to my new project.
It is a cushion I saw on Sandra's blog, Yarning, which I fell in love with and promised to do. Of course I ask for some patience! And here it is! This project Razzamatazz (at least was the title published in the magazine) is very easy to do. Here is the link to practice, those who have skills with the hook and those who haven't, try it's not so complicated!
As I always say, the key is the color combination! Happy ones, today it's raining !!!!!
Send you kisses and have a nice weekend with family, friends or who ever you want!

Estoy de vuelta - I'm back

As my husband went to Villa María, Córdoba, to finish a work, I decided to go there with the kids to have some vacation and to visit my godson and his mother. Another friend joined us there. We've been friends since more than 20 years. Like in the old times, the three of us together!!
We took the children to play near the river, we took walks, we gossiped a lot and drunk too much coffee!

The weather was more than too cold. Unfortunately all the trees and plants were burnt with a long week of frost. So I dedicated myself to photograph those houses and building from the past that I like so much!

The corner is in Villa Nueve, it must have more than 100 years! the rest Villa María.

Mi última clase de comida china - My last chinese food lesson

Hemos comido tanto! Qué ricooo! Adoro la comida china, tan especiada tan crujiente!

Primer plato: Cerdo Agridulce

We ate so much! So goood! I love chinese food, so spicy so crispy!

Main dish: Sweet and Sour Pork
Pork in small pieces, flour, egg and flour. Then fried and dumped into the hot wok with crispy vegetables (onion, red and green peppers, garlic, green onion and soy sauce). A little hot sauce, ketchup, cornstarch, vinegar and soy sauce to flavor everything. So delightful! I assure you.

Second dish: Cabbage Buns
This dish surprised me. The texture of the dough is soft and juicy filling. I leave the recipe:

For the dough ( for 10 buns approx.)
300 grs. flour
salt
sugar
oil
20 grs. of fresh yeast
water

Place in a bowl the flour with salt and a tablespoon of oil. Prepare the yeast with one tablespoon of sugar and warm water. Knead well until it is smooth. Rest for 20 minutes in a warm place.

For the filling:
white cabbage
1 carrot
bean sprouts
1 onion
soy sauce
ginger
garlic
hot sauce
paper

Cut the carrot, cabbage and onions in fine little pieces. Cook them with a little oil, garlic and add chopped vegetables, always the toughest to softest. Add salt, pepper and soy. Add ginger and hot sauce or curry (I put curry).
When the dough has rested, separate it into little bons of 5 cm diameter and let them rest again. Stretch the bons in a circle way and fill it with the mixed vegetables. Close them as if they were packages and let them rest a little more. Place a circle paper under each bun.
Prepare the steamer pot and boil some water, place the buns and cover. Cook for 10 minutes. Eat them as they are or if you prefer toast then in a pan with a little oil.

Dessert: Cheesecake
Original shape of cupcakes! We did a jam berries, super easy!

La clase que viene empezamos cocina india!

Next lesson, indian food!

Here it is. My first african flowers work! They are really gorgeous! If only I had enough time to knit, how many beautiful things would I do with this tecnick! The key: the right colour combination choose. The colour simetry makes the piece a special one!

This is my contribution to start a veryyy cold week but very sunny, a warm and colourful scarf! See you ( or read you!)

I ask my teacher, to do the food we enjoy so much at the Chinese restaurant. Was very happy when I finished and discovered, it was exactly the same.
We did some Springrolls, whose picture can not enjoy because I wasn't able to photographe them. My children attacked and ate them all!
We used the traditional springrolls sheet which I bought in Chinatown (I bought several things there), some shitake mushrooms, pork, white cabbage, carrot, green onion, ginger, soy sauce and oyster sauce.

We also made a Chop suey, the secret is a very strong fire and a good wok. In order to get vegetables cooked but crispy. We used soy and oyster sauce. And a bit of cornstarch to bind it. The vegetables should be cut the same size to have the same cooking time.

And as dessert, Chocolate volcano, as I say , or Lava Cake, as Natalia says.

It is a very simple preparation. Important: the cooking time, it should be cooked outside as well as the inside, but liquid. You should calculate approximately 10-12 minutes of moderate oven.

250 grs. chocolate
250 grs. butter
70 grs. flour
70 grs. eggs yolks
4 eggs
190 grs. sugar

Melt the butter and the chocolate carefully in the microwave.
Beat the sugar with the eggs and yolks.
Add to the melted chocolate, the beaten eggs and the flour. Mix them with a surrounding movement.
Use individual pots (preferably disposable aluminum). Fill with the preparation only three quarters of the mold. Oven at 180 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve hot with ice cream. The perfect combination!

Have a nice weekend and GO ARGENTINAAAA!!!!
